Our Story

Hughes Recruitment was founded in 2016 to offer a personalized, professional, and boutique approach to recruitment. We spend time learning about our client’s businesses, teams, challenges, and vision for the future as we partner with them to turn their business visions into reality. At Hughes Recruitment, we recognize and respect the rich history, traditions, and cultures of the Indigenous Peoples upon whose lands we operate. Our offices and activities span across several regions, including Saskatoon, Calgary, and Kelowna, and we are committed to acknowledging the diverse Indigenous communities of these areas.

In Saskatoon, we acknowledge that we are on Treaty 6 Territory and the traditional homeland of the Métis. We honor the First Nations and Métis people who have lived, traveled, and gathered on these lands for thousands of years.

​

In Calgary, we acknowledge the traditional territories of the Treaty 7 Nations, which include the Blackfoot Confederacy (comprising the Siksika, Piikani, and Kainai Nations), the Tsuut'ina Nation, and the Stoney Nakoda (including the Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Wesley Nations). Calgary is also home to Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3.

In Kelowna, we acknowledge that we are on the unceded, traditional territory of the Syilx (Okanagan) People. We respect and appreciate the longstanding relationships that Indigenous Nations have to this land, as they are the original caretakers.

We are grateful for the opportunity to work on these lands and are committed to fostering respect, understanding, and collaboration with Indigenous communities. We strive to contribute to a positive and respectful relationship between all peoples and to honor the rich cultural heritage of the First Nations, Métis, and Inuit across Canada.
